# Shitaku vs LockTimer

The clearest difference is update cadence: LockTimer at every 2 days against Shitaku's every 4 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shitaku sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and LockTimer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shitaku ships an update every 4 weeks, LockTimer every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
