# Step Tracker vs Aruki

The clearest difference is update cadence: Aruki at every 5 days against Step Tracker's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Tracker sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Aruki sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Tracker ships an update fortnightly, Aruki every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
