# Markd.ly vs Metis

The clearest difference is update cadence: Metis at every 2 days against Markd.ly's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Markd.ly sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $95.99 per year and Metis sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Markd.ly ships an update fortnightly, Metis every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
