# Frase vs flex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: flex at none against Frase's 3. Frase's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Frase sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. flex asks for nothing beyond the download.

Frase ships an update every 2 days, flex every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
