# TingMate vs LetSpeak

The clearest difference is rating: LetSpeak at 5.0 against TingMate's 4.4. LetSpeak also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). TingMate's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TingMate sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and LetSpeak sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LetSpeak holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TingMate has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of TingMate's written reviews are positive against 91% of LetSpeak's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TingMate ships an update every 4 days, LetSpeak weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
