# SideAction Saloon vs OVR Golf

The clearest difference is monetization model: SideAction Saloon at freemium against OVR Golf's subscription. OVR Golf's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SideAction Saloon sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and OVR Golf sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SideAction Saloon against 5.0 for OVR Golf. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OVR Golf has 21 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SideAction Saloon ships an update weekly, OVR Golf every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
