# Scanlly vs Sessions

The clearest difference is update cadence: Scanlly at weekly against Sessions's fortnightly. Scanlly also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scanlly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Sessions sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scanlly ships an update weekly, Sessions fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
