# Galactic Planner vs Canopy

The clearest difference is monetization model: Galactic Planner at free with in-app purchases against Canopy's subscription. Galactic Planner also leads on ads (none vs shown) and device support (3 vs 1). Canopy's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (86% vs 70%). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Galactic Planner sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Canopy sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Galactic Planner against 4.7 for Canopy. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 103 and 54 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Galactic Planner's written reviews are positive against 86% of Canopy's.

Galactic Planner ships an update monthly, Canopy every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
