# Countdown vs MadFocus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown at every 4 days against MadFocus's every 9 days. Countdown also leads on device support (5 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and MadFocus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ships an update every 4 days, MadFocus every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
