# Countdown vs Days Until

The clearest difference is monetization model: Days Until at free against Countdown's free with in-app purchases. Days Until also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Countdown's advantage is device support (5 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Days Until sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Days Until holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 7 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Countdown ships an update every 4 days, Days Until every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
