# MCTap vs Cadenza

The clearest difference is update cadence: Cadenza at every 4 days against MCTap's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MCTap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cadenza sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MCTap ships an update monthly, Cadenza every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
