# YiKe vs Readmate

The clearest difference is monetization model: Readmate at free against YiKe's free with in-app purchases. Readmate also leads on ratings volume (38 vs 7). YiKe's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YiKe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Readmate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YiKe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Readmate has 38 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of YiKe's written reviews are positive against 89% of Readmate's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
