# NEN vs Screen Time

The clearest difference is update cadence: NEN at every 5 days against Screen Time's every 11 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NEN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Screen Time sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NEN ships an update every 5 days, Screen Time every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
