# BackpackRadar vs WHV Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: WHV Tracker at free against BackpackRadar's freemium. On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BackpackRadar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and WHV Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BackpackRadar ships an update every 3 weeks, WHV Tracker every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
