# Golf Gear vs Rakou

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Rakou at 100% against Golf Gear's 14%. Rakou also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.3). Golf Gear's advantage is ratings volume (138 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf Gear sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Rakou sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rakou holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf Gear has 138 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 14% of Golf Gear's written reviews are positive against 100% of Rakou's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
