# Staxen vs BluMatrix

The clearest difference is monetization model: BluMatrix at free with in-app purchases against Staxen's subscription. BluMatrix also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Staxen's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Staxen sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month and BluMatrix sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BluMatrix holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 9 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 95% of Staxen's written reviews are positive against 100% of BluMatrix's.

Staxen ships an update weekly, BluMatrix fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
