# 念念 vs Inkstep

The clearest difference is ads: 念念 at none against Inkstep's shown. Inkstep's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 念念 sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Inkstep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

念念 ships an update weekly, Inkstep every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
