# ShadowClip vs ViewSide Link

The clearest difference is update cadence: ViewSide Link at every 5 days against ShadowClip's every 3 months. ShadowClip's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ShadowClip ships an update every 3 months, ViewSide Link every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
