# Lumen vs Aperic

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lumen at every 6 days against Aperic's every 5 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lumen sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Aperic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lumen ships an update every 6 days, Aperic every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
