# Aperic vs FrameCam

The clearest difference is update cadence: Aperic at every 5 weeks against FrameCam's every 2 months. FrameCam's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Aperic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and FrameCam sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aperic ships an update every 5 weeks, FrameCam every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
