# Cup Chase vs Block Word Jam

The clearest difference is rating: Cup Chase at 5.0 against Block Word Jam's 4.5. Block Word Jam's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cup Chase sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Block Word Jam sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cup Chase holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Block Word Jam has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
