# GhostBuddy vs GhostTrail

The clearest difference is update cadence: GhostBuddy at every 9 days against GhostTrail's monthly. GhostBuddy also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GhostBuddy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and GhostTrail sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostBuddy ships an update every 9 days, GhostTrail monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
