# UAP VPN vs Welcome VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Welcome VPN at 5.0 against UAP VPN's 1.0. Welcome VPN also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. UAP VPN sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Welcome VPN asks for nothing beyond the download.

Welcome VPN holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Welcome VPN has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

UAP VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, Welcome VPN every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
