# Prettier vs bake

The clearest difference is rating: bake at 5.0 against Prettier's 4.0. bake also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Prettier's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 57%) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prettier sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. bake asks for nothing beyond the download.

bake holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Prettier's written reviews are positive against 57% of bake's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
