# Pray Shield vs DevotionTime

The clearest difference is update cadence: DevotionTime at every 4 days against Pray Shield's every 9 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pray Shield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and DevotionTime sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pray Shield ships an update every 9 days, DevotionTime every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
