# GEN vs Dayfold

The clearest difference is monetization model: Dayfold at freemium against GEN's paid. GEN's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GEN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dayfold sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for GEN against 5.0 for Dayfold. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 2 respectively.

GEN ships an update every 3 days, Dayfold weekly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
