# 企鹅日记 vs 芽芽

The clearest difference is update cadence: 芽芽 at every 4 days against 企鹅日记's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 企鹅日记 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and 芽芽 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

企鹅日记 ships an update fortnightly, 芽芽 every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
