# epilogue vs Forewords

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Forewords at 100% against epilogue's 82%. epilogue's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. epilogue sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Forewords sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

epilogue ships an update weekly, Forewords fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
