# flormie vs footnotes

The clearest difference is rating: footnotes at 4.8 against flormie's 3.7. footnotes also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. flormie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. footnotes asks for nothing beyond the download.

footnotes holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: footnotes has 158 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of flormie's written reviews are positive against 97% of footnotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

flormie ships an update weekly, footnotes every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
