# Dopamine Pet vs PixelPal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dopamine Pet at every 4 days against PixelPal's every 2 months. Dopamine Pet also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dopamine Pet sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and PixelPal sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
