# Screen Star vs Reps

The clearest difference is rating: Reps at 5.0 against Screen Star's 4.5. Reps also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Screen Star's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Star sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Reps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Star has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Screen Star ships an update every 2 weeks, Reps monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
