# Goonless vs Stepdown

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Goonless at 100% against Stepdown's 56%. Goonless also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and device support (3 vs 1). Stepdown's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (54 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goonless sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Stepdown sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Goonless holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stepdown has 54 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Goonless's written reviews are positive against 56% of Stepdown's.

Goonless ships an update weekly, Stepdown every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
