# Forge vs Heave

The clearest difference is update cadence: Forge at every 2 days against Heave's every 4 days. Forge also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Heave sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forge ships an update every 2 days, Heave every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
