# EZCast vs Epson Creative Projection

The clearest difference is rating: Epson Creative Projection at 4.3 against EZCast's 2.1. Epson Creative Projection also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). EZCast's advantage is ratings volume (899 vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Epson Creative Projection holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EZCast has 899 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of EZCast's written reviews are positive against 0% of Epson Creative Projection's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EZCast ships an update every 2 months, Epson Creative Projection every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
