# StepUp vs StepCat

The clearest difference is ads: StepCat at none against StepUp's shown. StepUp's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepUp sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and StepCat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepUp ships an update every 2 days, StepCat every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
