# Trace vs iFocus Core

The clearest difference is update cadence: iFocus Core at every 6 days against Trace's every 2 weeks. Trace's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and iFocus Core sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trace ships an update every 2 weeks, iFocus Core every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
