# Liberotus vs Sutra

The clearest difference is rating: Sutra at 4.4 against Liberotus's 2.5. Sutra also leads on review sentiment (85% vs 50%) and ratings volume (14 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Liberotus sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per year and Sutra sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sutra holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sutra has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Liberotus's written reviews are positive against 85% of Sutra's.

Liberotus ships an update every 9 days, Sutra weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
