# Block Stack vs WordRing

The clearest difference is ads: WordRing at none against Block Stack's shown. Block Stack's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Block Stack sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and WordRing sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Block Stack ships an update weekly, WordRing every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
