# Trove vs Secure Safe

The clearest difference is update cadence: Secure Safe at every 5 days against Trove's every 9 days. Secure Safe also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trove sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Secure Safe sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Trove ships an update every 9 days, Secure Safe every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
