# Quartz vs Riddiments

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Riddiments at none against Quartz's 8. Riddiments also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Quartz's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Quartz sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Riddiments asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Quartz against 5.0 for Riddiments. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Quartz has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Quartz ships an update every 2 weeks, Riddiments every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
