# Hear Boost vs FlexBoard

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlexBoard at every 8 days against Hear Boost's every 5 months. Hear Boost's advantage is iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hear Boost sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $12.99 per year and FlexBoard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hear Boost ships an update every 5 months, FlexBoard every 8 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
