# TENAR vs Ascend

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ascend at every 5 days against TENAR's every 3 weeks. TENAR's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TENAR sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Ascend sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TENAR ships an update every 3 weeks, Ascend every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
