# ShadowFX vs Rake Plus

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rake Plus at every 8 days against ShadowFX's every 3 weeks. Rake Plus also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShadowFX sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Rake Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ShadowFX ships an update every 3 weeks, Rake Plus every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
