# Split Bill vs SplitEx

The clearest difference is update cadence: SplitEx at every 2 weeks against Split Bill's monthly. SplitEx also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Split Bill sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and SplitEx sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Split Bill ships an update monthly, SplitEx every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
