# GhostTrail vs GhostScope

The clearest difference is ads: GhostTrail at none against GhostScope's shown. GhostTrail also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GhostTrail sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and GhostScope sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostTrail ships an update monthly, GhostScope every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
