# GhostTrail vs Phantom Frequency

The clearest difference is update cadence: Phantom Frequency at every 6 days against GhostTrail's monthly. GhostTrail's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GhostTrail sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Phantom Frequency sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostTrail ships an update monthly, Phantom Frequency every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on September 21, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
