# GhostTrail vs SpiritTrace

The clearest difference is update cadence: SpiritTrace at weekly against GhostTrail's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GhostTrail sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and SpiritTrace sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostTrail ships an update monthly, SpiritTrace weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
