# Votional vs Bible

The clearest difference is monetization model: Bible at free against Votional's freemium. Bible also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). Votional's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Votional against 5.0 for Bible. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Votional ships an update every 3 days, Bible every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
