# Koine vs Ancient Way

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ancient Way at every 3 days against Koine's weekly. Koine's advantage is iOS requirement (18.2 vs 26.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Koine sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ancient Way sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Koine ships an update weekly, Ancient Way every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
