# First Date vs BlackBook

The clearest difference is update cadence: BlackBook at every 5 days against First Date's every 2 weeks. BlackBook also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. First Date sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BlackBook sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

First Date ships an update every 2 weeks, BlackBook every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
